Event ID
Each event message has a six-character event ID. This event ID is used to:
Identify the event message uniquely
Assign texts for the error description and error correction to the event mes-
sage
Assign the event message to a logic module action
Each valid event ID apart from event ID 000000 generates an event message.
Event ID 000000 does not generate an event message. This event ID is used
when setting parameters for actions that are not to trigger an event message.
For user-defined event messages, you must compose the event ID of the group
number and the error code.
The group number specifies the first three numbers of the event ID.
The error code specifies the last three numbers of the event ID. You must
add leading zeros to the error code.
Example:
The warning message contained in Fig. 70
has group number “253” and error
code “2”. The complete event ID for the warning message is therefore
“253002”.
Flags
You can also set a flag for each action. The flag is used as a status indicator: If
a flag is set for an event message, this event message remains active until it is
acknowledged (Fig. 71).
If an active event message is present, the “Event list” button is displayed in the
status bar for each menu. Active event messages are also marked as active in
the
“Event list”
menu.
