REMOTE INHIBIT (RI) & DRY CONTACTS ALARM PIN DEFINITION
In the case of fault conditions, the eLoad provides an externally short-activated emergency shut-off port
(Remote Inhibit) that will disengage the eLoad operation. For added protection, normal and deviant conditions
can be identified by the Dry Contacts Alarm, which utilizes Normal Open (RY_NO) and Normal Close
(RY_NC) relays as alarm indicators for customization of external protection systems. In the case of a
protection or AC power loss, the RY_NO will short (closed) and RY_NC will be opened to indicate a
fault/deviant condition, either contact can be used to trigger an external alarm.

Pin Number Pin Definition
1 – RI+ Remote Inhibited (RI) is used a s a n emergency switch to disa ble
the system. RI ca n be connecting to a switch or a n open
collector device tha t shorts the RI pin to common (EGND)
whenever it is necessa ry to disa ble input of the unit. Once RI is
a ctiva ted, it will turn off the dc output. In order to re-a ctiva te the
unit, the connection between common a nd RI pin needs to be
open a ga in, a nd it will ha ve 3 seconds dela y.
2 – RI- The EGND return pa th for RI+ pin. Shorting RI+ a nd RI - (Pin 1
& Pin 2) will trigger RI protection.
3 – RY_NC Dry Conta cts a la rm: a fa ult a la rm is decla red if there is a loss of
AC power or protections a re triggered. The fa ult a la rm outputs
provide a norma lly closed rela y configura tion tha t provides
user’s flexibility and isolation required to an external controller
or a n externa l a la rm pa nel. The dela y is 3 second

only for RY_NC or RY_NO
