GENERAL INFORMATION AND OPERATING NOTES
Operating Modes:
The four modes of opera tion a re:
Constant Current (CC):
The electronic loa d will sink a current in a ccorda nce with the progra mmed va lue rega rdless of the input volta ge.
Note 1:
Never use CC mode for testing a consta nt current source. The regula tion of the two units will fight for control of
the current a nd a n unsta ble oscilla tion will result.
Note 2:
During CC mode, the electronic loa d ca n opera te under the fa stest tra nsient time.
Constant Voltage (CV):
The electronic loa d will a ttempt to sink enough current to control the source volta ge to the progra mmed va lue. It a cts a s a
shunt volta ge regula tor when opera ting in the CV mode.
Note 1:
Never use CV mode for testing a consta nt volta ge source. The regula tors of the two devices will buck ea ch other
trying to ga in control of the volta ge which will lea d to a n unsta ble condition.
Note 2:
In
CV mode, the tra nsient time will be a djusted to a slower setting to ensure sta ble opera tion.
