Exa mple:
UTIL:RANG 0 – Sets the electronic loa d to ma nua l ra nge.
SYST:RANG?
This command returns the number of ranges for each mode in a “CV/CC/CR/CP” sequence .
Exa mple:
SYST:RANG? – returns “1/2/3/2” mea ns 1 ra nge for CV mode, 2 ra nges for CC mode, 3
ra nges for CR mode a nd 2 ra nges for CP mode.
COMMON COMMANDS
A common command begins with an * and consists of three letters. It is followed by a “?” if it is a query. They are
genera lly not re la ted to specific device operation but to perform the identica l function for a ll instruments tha t a re
complia nt with the IEEE488.2 sta nda rd. Common comma nds can be mixed in with regula r Electronic Loa d comma nds.
The eLoa d responds to 8 common commands tha t control interna l opera tion, sta tus a nd event registers, a nd system da ta .
*CLS
Clea r Sta tus Comma nd
This comma nd clea rs the Sta tus Byte summa ry register a nd a ll event register.
*ESR? Event Sta tus Register Query
This comma nd queries the Sta nda rd Event Sta tus register. Rea ding it clea rs it.
*IDN? Identifica tion Query
This query requests the Electronic Loa d to identify itself. It returns the model number of the unit.
*STB? Sta tus Byte Query
This query rea ds the Sta tus Byte Register. Rea ding the register does not clea r it.
*TRG
Trigger Comma nd
This comma nd genera tes a trigger to the Electronic Loa d.
*TST? Test Query
This query ca uses the Electronic Loa d to go through a self -test.
*SAV

This comma nd stores the present sta te a nd ca libra tion da ta to interna l ba ck -up fla sh memory.
