LOCATION, MOUNTING, AND VENTILATION
Electronic loa d is designed for ra ck-mounted or bench top a pplica tions.
RACK MOUNTING INTALLATION
1- Use the integra l ra ck-mount ea rs a t both sides of the front pa nel to insta ll the electronic loa d in a ra ck mount
a pplica tion.
2-
Provide a dequa te support for the rea r of the instrument without obstructing the ventila tion in lets on the sides a nd
rea r of the unit. Use a support ba r a t the bottom or rea r of the unit. Follo w the ra ck -mount manufacturer’s
instructions to insta ll the support ba r.
VENTILATION
Whether you pla ce the electronic loa d in a ra ck or on a bench, a llow coolin g a ir to rea ch the ventila tion inlets on the sides
of the instrument a nd a llow 4 in. (101.6mm) of unrestricted a ir space a t the rea r of the unit for the fa n exhaust. Any
ventila tion spa ce a t the top a nd bottom of the supply will further lower interna l opera ting tempera tures.
FUSE REPLACEMENT
If the fuse is suspected to be defective, it should be inspected and, if necessa ry, repla ced. To inspect or repla ce the fuse ,
plea se conta ct to AMETEK Progra mma ble Power service depa rtment before performing the following steps:
(1)
Disconnect the AC line cord from the unit to reduce electrica l shock ha za rd.
(2) Remove the fuse by sliding out the fuse holder. The fuse holder is beneath the AC recepta cle. Test the fuse for
electrica l continuity with a n ohmmeter. Other f use holder loca ted a t the printed circuit boa rd.
(3) If the fuse is found to be defective, repla ce it with a repla cement fuse a s specified in Ta ble 2.2.
(4) Repla ce the fuse in the fuse holder a nd re-insta ll.
(5) Re-install the cover and connect the AC power cord.
Use of any fuse other than the one specified could cause damage to the unit, pose a severe fire hazard, and will void
the warranty.
