There is a shock hazard at the load when using an electronic load with a rated output greater than 40V. To
protect personnel against contact with hazardous voltages, ensure that the load, including connections, has no live
parts, which are accessible. Also ensure that the insulation rating of the source wiring and circuitry is greater than
or equal to the maximum output voltage of the electronic lo ad.
When making connections to the bus bars. Ensure that each terminal’s mounting hardware and wiring assembly
are placed to avoid touching the other terminal and shorting the electronic load input. Heavy connecting cables
must have some form of strain relief to avoid loosening the connections or bending the bus bars.
LOCAL SENSE CONFIGURATION
When the Electronic Loa d is stra pped for loca l sensing, a n una voidable volta ge drop is incurred in the loa d lea ds a nd this
a dds to the load regula tion. Hence, loca l sensing is usua lly used in a pplica tions where the lea d lengths a re rela tively short,
or loa d regu la tion is not critica l. Loca l or remote sense ca n be set by a ccessing:

To meet sa fety requirement, loa d wire size should be la rge enough to ca rry e lectric current of the s ource to the Electronic
Load without overheating. Stra nded, copper wires a re recommended. The wires should be la rge enough to limit the
volta ge drop to less tha n 1V per lea d. Refer to Ta ble 2.4 for proper wire size se lection. Input wire connections a re made
to the
