To test the power supply voltages

Refer to chapter 6, "Replacing Assemblies," for instructions to remove or replace covers and
assemblies.

W A R N I N G

Hazardous voltages exist on the power supply and the LCD display. Only service-trained
personnel who are aware of the hazards involved, such as fire and electrical shock, should
perform this procedure.

Turn off the instrument, then remove the power cable. Remove the cover of the
instrument and the disk drive assembly (including the support plate).

2

Reconnect both the hard disk drive and flexible disk drive to the CPU board

3

Connect the power plug, then turn on the instrument.

4

Check for voltages on the acquisition board power input connectors according to
the following diagram.

5

Turn off the instrument. Allow time for the capacitors in the power supply to
discharge. Remove and replace the power supply if needed.

6

Reassemble the instrument.
