Procedure
1. Set the modulator disk to position D (or DF =
darkfield).
2. Turn the knurled knob for vertical adjustment
of the condenser to the upper stop.
3. Swivel the objective with the highest possible
aperture into position on the nosepiece.
4. Place the sample on the stage.
5. Focus the sample.
