4.7 Assembling the Stage
4.7.1 Assembling the Stable Mechanical Stage and Specimen Holder

Procedure
1. Place the stage

on the stage carrier

so that the threaded holes

on the bot-
tom of the stage are positioned above the stage carrier openings

and hold the stage.
2. Insert four fastening screws

through the stage carrier from below and screw them
into the bottom of the stage. Use the 3 mm hex key

.
3. Turn the stage to orient it in an XY direction and tighten the fastening screws.
4. Place the sample holder

on the stage and fasten the two clamping screws

.
Proceed in the reverse order for removal.
