• During paper feeding from the equipment or PFP:
Registration sensor is not turned ON in a fixed period of time after the feed clutch is turned
ON

Paper jam (E220, E310, E320, E340– E360, E3D0 and E3E0: Error code differs depending on
the paper source.)
B-2) Add toner ( )
Toner density becomes low

Auto-toner sensor detects the absence of the toner
↓
Control circuit

“Add toner” displayed: the copying operation disabled
Solution: Open the front cover and replace the toner cartridge with a new one.
Toner is supplied
→
copying operation enabled.
B-3) Developer unit not installed properly
Disconnection of the connectors of the developer unit
↓
“Developer unit not installed” is displayed.
Solution: Connect the connectors of the developer unit and close the front cover.
B-4) Dispose of used toner ( )
• Toner bag becomes full of toner
↓
Toner recovery auger shifts to the rear side: Toner bag full detection sensor (1) ON or Toner bag
detection sensor (2) ON
↓
“Dispose of used toner” is displayed.
• Toner bag full detection sensor ON during printing
↓
Printing is stopped after the paper being printed is exited.
Solution: Replace the toner bag with a new one and close the front cover.
C-1) Call for service
Error code is displayed instead of the set number by pressing the [CLEAR] button and [8] button
simultaneously when the “Call for service” is blinking.
