SHIFT key
•
Press this key to select the SHIFT mode. The LED to the upper left of this key lights.
At the same time, the LEDs to the upper right of the following keys blink, and the
functions indicated on the right side can be selected.
SPD/BCM key
OUT/TSG key
MRK/SLF key
ID/UTL key
RANGE key
OFFSET key
ANN/P-SV key
Example 1:
Press only the SPD/BCM key to select the SPD mode. To select the BCM mode, press
the SHIFT key and then the SPD/BCM key.
Example 2:
Press only the RANGE key to select the M-RANGE (manual range setting) mode. To
select the A-RANGE (automatic range setting) mode, press the SHIFT key and then the
RANGE key.

Hold the SHIFT key down for at least 2 seconds to select the PNL LOK (panel lock)
mode. The PNL LOK LED lights, and all the keys on the front panel are disabled.
To cancel the PNL LOK mode, hold the SHIFT key down again for at least 2 seconds.

SPD/BCM key
•
Press only this key to select the SPD (tape speed setting) mode. The LED to the upper
left of the key blinks. At the same time, the selected SPD LED (1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/
16) lights.
Select the tape speed using the
;
or
:
key.
To end the SPD mode, press the SPD/BCM key again.

When this key is pressed once after pressing the SHIFT key, the recorder enters into
the BCM (analog channel mode setting) mode, and the LED to the upper right of the
key blinks.
Select the analog channel mode using the
;
or
:
key.
When this key is pressed twice within one second after pressing the SHIFT key, the
recorder enters into the BCM (digital channel setting) mode, and the LED to the
upper right of the key blinks.
Select the digital channel mode using the
;
or
:
key.
To end the BCM mode, press the SPD/BCM key again.
