2. In the audio application main view, at the top, select the scenario "microphone- and
speakertest".
3. Before switching on the cell signal, ensure that the usage of the speech codec is
enabled in the CDMA2000 signaling application, see
4. Select the
parameter "Codec" in the speech service settings of the
CDMA2000 signaling.
5. Select a speech option, see
on page 539. Alternatively it can
be selected from the main view, see
chapter 4.3.1.7, "Mobile Station Control"
6. In the case of service option SO68, SO70 or SO73, configure the enhanced varia-
ble rate codec settings and initialize voice coder to apply the changes, see
. Changing and subsequently initializing of the
enhanced variable rate codec settings is possible also during the established voice
connection.
7. Configure any other settings as desired (as for a connection without the audio
board) and switch on the cell signal.
8. Turn on an internal audio generator of the audio measurements application accord-
ing to the steps below:
a) Select the "Analog Meas" tab or "Digital Meas" tab.
b) Select the relevant generator softkey ("Analog Generator" or "Digital Genera-
tor").
c) Press "ON | OFF" and wait until the generator softkey indicates the "ON" state
and the hour glass symbol has disappeared.
9. Start the circuit switched session as described in
chapter 4.2.2, "Initiating Signaling
10. Analyze the audio signal e.g. by means of the "Speech" RX measurement (see
chapter 4.3.13.6, "Speech View (Tab)"
on page 581) or the audio measurements
application. The CDMA2000 TX measurements can evaluate the different charac-
teristics of the signal as well.
