RLP and IP Statistics

The "RX Meas Data" evaluates the data flow between DUT and R&S

CMW. The mea-

surement results consists of RLP packet counters, PPP total bytes and the resulting
data rate in both forward (Tx) and reverse (Rx) direction. They are available while the
packet data service option is connected. The results become invalid as soon the AT
enters the dormant state.

Data measurements require an end-to-end data connection, see

"End to End Packet Data Connections"

on page 19 for details.

The RLP results are presented in a table with four different columns containing the
number of packets that R&S

CMW received:

●

"Rx": Number of packets received in the last update period

●

"Rx Total": Total number of packets received since the beginning of the PPP con-
nection

●

"Tx": Number of packets transmitted in the last update period

●

"Tx Total": Total number of packets transmitted

The update period can be set in the configuration dialog.

The RLP table rows contain the number of packets from the measured RLP messages:

●

"Reset": Number of packets associated with RLP Reset messages, which are sent
between AT and AN to reset RLP.

●

"Reset Ack": Number of packets associated with RLP Reset ACK messages, which
are sent between AT and AN to complete the RLP reset procedure.

●

"NAK": Number of NAK control packets, requesting the retransmission of one or
more data octets.

●

"Summary": Total number of packets from the measured RLP messages As the list
contains all packet types, this is equal to the total number of RLP packets received.
