VI. ALARMS
To display the alarm log, press the key corresponding to the symbol :
The following list describes all of the possible alarm conditions, the causes and solutions to be brought.
Alarm Number
Description
1 STACK OVERFLOW ON A SPECIFIC TASK
Internal software error. Cycle power on system. If condition persists, contact the technical assistance.
2 SYSTEM STACK OVERFLOW
Internal software error. Cycle power on system. If condition persists, contact DICKEY-john Technical support.
200 MASTER SWITCH IS ON
Master Switch is in an incorrect position. Some functions require the Master Switch to be in the ‘OFF’ position,
or require the cycling of the Master Switch to perform a calibration (such as a Valve Calibration) routine. Place
the Master Switch to the ‘OFF’ position.
202 GROUND SPEED FAILURE
The system has detected no ground speed input. Either there is a sensor failure, harness failure, or module
failure. Access the Ground Speed Configuration function and set the SOURCE item to Manual Speed to run the
system on the Manual Speed Setting.
203 CONTROL CONTINUOUS TEST FAILURE
The system is unable to accomplish the Continuous Test routine.
204 CONTROL 5 REV TEST FAILURE
The system is unable to accomplish the 5 revolution test.
205 MOTOR CONTROL FAIL
The identified way is unable to control properly. This is usually caused by an incorrect system gain setting, or it
could be caused by a failed feedback sensor, or a failed valve. Perform a Valve Calibration of the affected way.
Inspect the valve and/or feedback sensor for damage.
206 CONTROL UNABLE TO CONTROL
The identified way is unable to control to the set parameters. This is usually caused by an incorrect parameter in
the way configuration, either spreader constant, way width, system gain, etc. It can also be caused by an failed
feedback sensor. Verify that all data for the affected way is accurate. Perform a Valve Calibration of the
affected way. Inspect the feedback sensor for damage.
207 CONTROL UNSTABLE
The identified way is unable to control to the set parameters. This is usually caused by an incorrect parameter in
the way configuration, either spreader constant, spreader, width, system gain, etc. It can also be caused by a
failed feedback sensor. Verify that all data for the affected way is accurate. Perform a Valve Calibration of the
affected way. Inspect the feedback sensor for damage.
208 CONTROL SATURATION FAILURE
The identified way has reached the maximum PWM output to the valve but cannot control to the currently set
Target Rate. This is usually caused by an incorrect parameter in the way configuration, either spreader constant,
way width, system gain, etc. It can also be caused by a failed feedback sensor. Verify that all data for the
affected way is accurate. Perform a Valve Calibration of the affected way. Inspect the feedback sensor for
damage.
209 CONTROL DISK SATURATION FAILURE
The identified way has reached the maximum disk RPM, but cannot control to the currently set Target Rate.
This is usually caused by too high travel speed. Slow the vehicle speed.
210 FAILURE : MINIMUM DISC ROTATION SPEED
The identified way has reached a minimum rotation speed in relation with the set speed. This is usually caused
by a too slow travel speed. Increase the vehicle speed.
211 ALL ROWS FAIL
All the active rows have stopped seeding. This alarm is generated whenever the seed chutes are shut down at the
end of a pass.
212 SEED ROW FAILURE
The identified row has stopped seeding. Usually caused by running out of seed, but can also be caused by a dirty
or failed sensor. Refill the seed for that row, or clean the identified seed sensor.
213 HIGH POPULATION
The identified row is seeding higher than threshold entered for the High Population Alarm value. If multiple,
adjacent rows are also failed, there may be a problem with the parameters entered in the seeding controls. If a
single row is failed, the problem is very probably only on this row.
214 LOW POPULATION
The identified row is seeding lower than threshold entered for the Low Population Alarm value. If multiple,
adjacent rows are also failed; there may be a problem with the parameters entered in the seeding controls. If a
single row is failed, the problem is very probably only on this row. Too high travel speed
215 HIGH PRESSURE
The identified pressure sensor has detected a pressure that exceeds the threshold for the High Pressure Alarm
value.
