C.3.7 DATA FORMATS – ANALOG INPUT AND OUTPUT POINTS

Data formats for Analog Input and Analog Output Points.

F1 – Signed 16-bit integer, 1 decimal place.

e.g. 123.4 is reported as 1234.

F2 – Signed 16-bit integer, 2 decimal places.

e.g. 12.34 is reported as 1234.

F3 – Signed 16-bit integer, 3 decimal places.

e.g. 1.234 is reported as 1234.

F4 - Signed 16-bit integer, no decimal places

F5 - Signed 8-bit integer, No decimal places. Encoded Fault Type.

There are 16 valid fault type codes as given below:

F6 – Unsigned 16-bit integer, No decimal places. Encoded Fault Trip Type. The lower and upper 16-bits

of the 32-bit value are assigned to two separate points. To read the trip type the two points need to
be read and concatenated to form a 32-bit word.

Each bit of Trip Type indicates a Trip flag that is picked up. The following table lists the mnemonic for
each of the bits of Trip Type.

F7 – Unsigned 8-bit integer, No decimal places. Encoded Trip Phase information.

Trip phases is a single byte value with the least significant four bits indicating which of the four phases
have a trip fault as shown below:
