4.1.4 EQUIPMENT GROUNDING

All equipment used in testing the relay should be connected to a common grounding point to provide noise
immunity. This includes the voltage and current sources and the LPS-D itself.

The ground connection on the LPS-D is terminal A2. The common for surge protection is terminal A18.

A2 should be connected to A18 with #12 wire or larger during test as well as operation (The
separate surge ground is for Hi-Pot testing purposes).
