Record selection mode

In the record selection mode, up to 64 records can be parameterised in the EMCA. Each record contains

all the parameters required for a positioning task. The record number that the EMCA is to process at

the next start command “Start positioning task (CPOS.START, B1 = 1)” is transferred in the controller’s

output data (control byte 3). Through the input data (status byte 3), the controller receives the last

record number executed. The positioning task itself does not need to be active.

The following functions are available to the EMCA in the record selection mode:

Travel of absolute or relative positioning records

–

Travel of speed records with active or deactivated stroke limitation

–

Travel of force records with active or deactivated stroke limit

–

Travel of several records through record chaining

The overview shows the data exchange between the controller and the EMCA in the record selection

mode.
