Control via FHPP
The device profile “Festo Handling and Positioning Profile (FHPP)” makes the following operating
modes available for operation of the EMCA.

Homing mode

Performance of homing to determine the reference point
or transfer of the current position
Jog operation

Positive or negative jogging of the drive
Teach-in mode
–
Transfer of the current position (e.g. as a target position
in the selected record)
Record selection mode
Positioning mode:
–
Calculation of the positioning curve (point-to-point
positioning) from records with the target “position
setpoint value” and the specified parameters (e.g.
speed, acceleration).
Speed mode:
–
Processing of records with speed setpoint value; the
speed regulator processes the difference between the
rotational speed setpoint value and the actual value.
Force/torque mode:
–
The current regulator processes the deviation between
the setpoint current of records and the actual value for
the current.
Record linking:
–
Several records can be linked with one another
Direct operation
Positioning mode:
–
Calculation of the positioning curve (point-to-point
positioning) from direct tasks with the target “setpoint
position” and the specified parameters (e.g. speed,
acceleration)
Speed mode:
–
Processing of direct tasks with speed setpoint value; the
speed regulator processes the difference between the
rotational speed setpoint value and the actual value.
Force/torque mode:
–
The current regulator processes the deviation between
the setpoint current of direct tasks and the actual value
for the current.
Sample mode
Signal for storing the actual position (flying measurement)
