Jog operation

In jog operation, the drive can moved to any position. The drive is moved during jogging until the jog

ging signal (CPOS.JOGP or CPOS.JOGN) is present. For referenced drives, the limits are determined by

the software end positions. For unreferenced drives, jogging is limited by limit switches or stops. The

jogging sequence always depends on the jogging parameters

page 170. With the slow speed

(PNU 530), a position can be travelled to very accurately. The fast speed (PNU 531) permits fast travel

through large strokes.

Jogging mode supports the following tasks:

–

Moving to teach positions (e.g. in commissioning)

–

Drive free running (e.g. after a system malfunction)

–

Manual travel as a normal operating mode (manually operated feed)
