NOTICE
ECA21011
• Do not drop the wheel sensor rotor or sub-
ject it to shocks.
• If any solvent gets on the wheel sensor ro-
tor, wipe it off immediately.
• Replace the brake disc bolts and wheel
sensor rotor bolts with new ones.
TIP
• Install the wheel sensor rotor with the stamped
mark “a” facing outward.
• Tighten the brake disc bolts and wheel sensor
rotor bolts in stages and in a crisscross pattern.
• Tighten the rear brake disc bolt as illustration.
2. Install:
• Rear wheel sprocket
Refer to “CHECKING AND REPLACING
THE REAR WHEEL SPROCKET” on page
4-21.
3. Check:
• Rear brake disc
Refer to “CHECKING THE REAR BRAKE
DISC” on page 4-40.
4. Lubricate:
• Oil seal lips
5. Install:
• Collar (right)
• Collar (left)
• Rear brake caliper “1”
• Rear wheel
• Adjusting blocks
• Rear wheel axle
• Washer
• Rear wheel axle nut
TIP
• Install the rear wheel with the mark “a” on the
rear tire pointing in the direction of wheel rota-
tion.
• Align the projection “b” in the swingarm with the
slot “c” of the brake caliper bracket.
6. Install:
• Rear wheel sensor lead holder “1”
TIP
Contact the rear wheel sensor lead holder to the
caliper bracket.
