Procedure
Compare the actually measured air temperature with the tool display val-
ue.

Connection of intake air tem-
perature sensor coupler.
Check the locking condition of
the coupler.
Disconnect the coupler and
check the pins (bent or broken
terminals and locking condition
of the pins).
Improperly connected
→
Con-
nect the coupler securely or re-
place the wire harness.
Turn the main switch to “ON”,
and then check the condition of
the fault code using the mal-
function mode of the Yamaha di-
agnostic tool.
Condition is “Recover”
→
Go to
item 7 and finish the service.
Condition is “Malfunction”
→
Go
to item 2.

the coupler.

the wire harness.

Disconnect the ECU coupler from the ECU.
Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor coupler from the intake air temperature sensor.
