OFFLINE PRINTING TASKS

1/2 inch cartridge tape drive procedures

The following sections contain instructions for handling the 1/2
inch cartridge tape drive.

Power on the 18 track 1/2 inch cartridge tape drive

1. To power on the 18 track cartridge tape drive, press the

Power switch to the ON position by pressing down on the
side marked 1.

Diagnostics are performed and are listed on the message

Place the tape drive online

2. To place the tape drive online to the LPS, do the following:

a. Press and release the Scroll button.
