Fig. 70: Example of prohibit frequency area setting
515 DC BRAKING FREQUENCY AT STOP 234567 (2.4.10)
The output frequency at which the DC braking starts. See Fig. 70 Example of prohibit
516 DC-BRAKING TIME AT START 234567 (2.4.11)
DC-brake is activated when the start command is given. This parameter gives the time
during which the DC current is fed to the motor before the acceleration starts.
DC brake current is used at start in order to premagnetize the motor before running. This
will improve the torque performance at start. Varying between 100 ms to 3 s, the time
needed depends on motor size. A bigger motor requires a longer time. See parameter ID507.
NOTE!
When Flying Start (see parameter ID505) is used as start function DC braking at
start is disabled.
518 ACCELERATION/DECELERATION RAMP SPEED SCALING RATIO BETWEEN PROHIBIT
FREQUENCY LIMITS 23457 (2.5.3, 2.5.7)
Defines the acceleration/deceleration time when the output frequency is between the
selected prohibit frequency range limits (parameters ID509 to ID514). The ramping speed
(selected acceleration/ deceleration time 1 or 2) is multiplied with this factor. E.g. value 0.1
makes the acceleration time 10 times shorter than outside the prohibit frequency range
limits.
