(5) Loosen the screw fixing the tension adjustment plate
1/4 to 1/2 turn.
(6) Set the flatbrade screwdriver to the notch of the
tension adjustment plate.
(7) Turn the screwdriver and adjust the position of the
tension adjustment plate so that it meet the specifica-
tion.

(8) While holding the screwdriver in step (7), tighten the
screw.
(9) Remove the S-tension weight (W44).
4. Gain adjustment
(1) Hook the S-tension weight (W76.7) to the tension
regurator guide (S5 guide).
(2) Push down the S-tension arm until it is stopped.
(3) And release the S-tension arm softly.
(4) Swing the S-tension weight, and then quiet it using a
finger softly.
(5) Adjust the variable resistor “VR402” on the SST-3
board so that it meet the specification.

“Spring position adjustment” of step 3.
(6) Remove the S-tension weight (W76.7).
