3. S arm assembly removal
(1) Remove the stop washer of the S arm assem-
bly, and remove the compression spring
under the stop washer simultaneously.

Be careful not to lose the compression spring.
(2) Remove the S arm assembly.

• When removing, be careful not to touch the
drum.
• A very small sliders is installed in the shaft
at the back of the S arm assembly. Be
careful not to lose the collar when remov-
ing the S arm assembly.
If the small collar is left on the drawer arm
gear, take out the collar using a pair of
tweezers and install it in the shaft at the
back of the S arm assembly.
* If a polyslider washer adheres to the
bearing of the S arm assembly, take out the
polyslider washer and install it in the shaft
on the chassis.
Installation
4. S arm assembly installation
(1) Clean the two fixing shafts of the S arm
assembly using a cleaning cloth moistened
with cleaning fluid, then apply a half drop of
oil to the fixing shafts.
(2) Apply a half drop of oil to the small collar
fixing shaft on a new S arm assembly.
(3) Install the small collar in the shaft.
(4) Apply a light coating of molyton grease to
the groove of the drawer arm gear.
(5) Install the S arm assembly to the chassis.

• At first, insert the bearing at the reel table side
of the S arm assembly into the shaft of the
chassis.
• Insert the roller at the back of the S arm
assembly into the groove of the drawer arm
gear.
(6) Insert the compression spring into the fixing
shaft of the S arm assembly and attach it
using a new stop washer (3-726-829-01).
