6-15. Capstan Motor Replacement

2. Opening the back side of chassis.

(1) Open the DPR-62 and SST-3 boards. (Refer

to Section 8-2-1 and 8-3.)

(2) Remove the rubber ring attached to the boss

in the center of the chassis and open the front

panel side of the insulating plate.

3. Capstan motor removal

(1) Disconnect the connector connected to the

capstan motor at the back of the unit.

(2) Remove the three screws from the top of the

chassis while holding the capstan motor with

hand, and remove the capstan motor from the

back side of the chassis.

Be careful not to fall the capstan motor.
