during a copy cycle.

SC #12: The exposure lamp stays on longer than 20 seconds during a copy

cycle.

- Possible Causes -

1. Exposure lamp circuit open

2. Optical thermoswitch open

3. Flat cable open

4. I/O control board or system control board malfunction

- Actions -

1. Check the conductivity in the exposure lamp filament. If there is no

conductivity, replace the exposure lamp.

2. Check the conductivity in the optical thermoswitch. If there is no

conductivity, replace the thermoswitch.

3. Remove CN402 from the AC drive board; then, while moving the scanner

slowly from left to right, check the conductivity between CN402-1 and 4. If

there is no conductivity, replace the flat cable.

4. During the copy cycle, check the voltage at CN304-A19

24V:

Replace AC drive board

14V pulse: Replace I/O control board or system control board.
