3 Reeving the rope and mounting intermediate pulleys:

Bring the boom into a position where all
components of the rope winch like winch,
pulley head and the like are easily
accessible.
x
Briefly actuate ‘Lower rope winch’ to
slacken the rope.
x
Remove the rope (rope thimbles) from the
rope securing pin.
Danger!
Failure to reeve in the rope properly will damage the components of
the winch (for instance by rubbing). This represents a severe risk of
injury and even fatality for the operator and others due to falling loads.
The rope should be reeved properly and must not rub anywhere.
Example: Rope winch on the outer boom.

(A) Actuate ‘Lower rope winch’ and let
sufficient rope unwind from the reel.
x
(B) Reeve the rope in the deflection pulley
(if being used) and pulley head.
For operating the rope winch, intermediate pulleys need to be mounted if the extension boom model
requires this.
