Operating with crane hook with RTC for a short time
With RTC it is possible to lift a load with the fly jib without having to unreeve the rope.
Precondition:
x
The crane is completely unfolded.
x
Power Link rope winch in working position.
x
The rope is properly reeved over all provided deflection pulleys and intermediate pulleys.
x
The rope is secured in the rope securing pin.
x
RTC is active.
Start tensioning the rope:
With every movement of the crane except slewing RTC starts to tension the rope.
You may actuate all hydraulic crane and fly-jib functions.
Caution!
When you select the wrong speed for the extension booms, loops of
slack rope may develop.
They may considerably damage the rope and the load may fall down.
There is risk of injury or even fatal injury.
x
For the extensions choose a speed where RTC always winds the rope under tension.
Note!
At low temperatures pay particular attention to the extension boom
speed to prevent the rope from slackening.
Maintenance of cranes with RTC
Caution!
During maintenance work on the crane the rope must be unreeved and
RTC off, otherwise there is serious risk of getting crushed by the rope
and therefore risk of fatal injury for the operator and others.
During maintenance observe all instructions including safety instructions given in chapters 10 and 11.
