Chapter 7 Preparing for crane operation

Starting the crane
x
Park the vehicle as close as possible to the loading place.
Note!
Working at shorter outreach generally increases the crane lifetime.
x
Engage the parking brake.
x Air suspension axles must be inactive during crane operation.
x
Engage the PTO at idle and then select correct engine speed.
x Only one person shall operate the crane at a time.
At ambient temperatures below freezing point
x Let the pump run for a few minutes before operating any crane function.
Additionally in remote control mode
Note!
When the key switch is set to remote control mode, a green warning
light starts flashing (see picture). This indicates any third persons
that the crane may start to move any time.
For remote operation refer to 'Preparing for remote operation' in chapter 7.
