Note!
No charging cycle is run if the monitoring of charger and battery
temperature shows that the ambient or battery temperature is too
high.
Refresh function
x
Provided in order to improve batteries with weak performance. This occurs through repeated
controlled discharge and recharging.
x
If the LED is solid orange, the charger is recommending 'Refresh'.
x
Start 'Refresh' by pressing the Refresh button - Refresh LED flashes orange.
x
'Refresh' discharges and charges the battery in a controlled manner.
x
LED green: 'Refresh' ready, battery fully charged.
Note!
Once a Refresh process has been initiated using a charger built into
the vehicle:
x
it should not be aborted, as this will harm battery life;
x
around 12 hours should be allowed for it to complete
(e.g. overnight or when the battery is not needed for
such a period).
Battery - General
Very high (40°C and above) and very low (below 5°C) battery temperatures have an extreme impact on
its service life. Wherever possible you should therefore ensure that the battery is not charged or stored
at temperatures outside of the specified range.
Note!
To keep the battery in good working order a storage temperature of
between 5° and 40°C is recommended. The battery should not be
stored at temperatures outside of the specified range.
The PALFINGER battery is made of nickel metal hydride cells (capacity 2000 mAh, nominal voltage
7.2V). Remote control console and charger can only be operated with original PALFINGER batteries.
