Ending rope winch operation (load-arm still in working position)
Warning!
The crane must be switched off between the individual disassembly
steps. Failure to do this will result in an acute risk of injury (potentially
fatal).
If disassembly of winch components is necessary:
x
Lower the load arm boom (to carry out the following work)
x
Reel off sufficient rope.
x
Switch off crane.
x
Disassemble the lower load block and store it properly.
x
Unreeve the rope, pin it to the storage point and secure it properly.
x
Turn on the crane.
x
Slowly and carefully operate the winch to tighten the rope.
x
Switch off crane.
x
Disassemble and store the winch components properly (pulley head, guide pulleys, etc.).
If disassembly of the winch components is not necessary:
x
Put the pulley head into transport position (varies depending on type). Refer to ‘Pulley head in
working position/transport position’.
Warning!
Abrupt crane movements can cause the lower load block to swing
uncontrollably.
x
Slowly and carefully wind up the rope with the winch.
x
Folding the crane in transport position (refer to ‘Folding the crane into transport position' in chapter
‘Ending operation’): While moving the crane in transport position keep sufficient distance between
pulley head and lower load block.
x
Wind up the rope with the winch slowly and carefully until the lower load block is tightly on the
pulley head (not allowed as working position).
