L-5 Database Mode
When
Switch Mode
is set to
Time
, the reader will load the next database entry to current, active set-
tings after a predefined time interval. The timer will start upon use of a database entry. If the timer
expires during an image capture event, the timer will not start again until that database entry has been
incremented and the new database entry has been loaded to current, active settings.
When
Switch Mode
is set to
Number of Image Frames
, the database entry is incremented after the pre-
determined number of image capture events has occurred.

Switch Mode
Definition:
Selects the event that causes the reader to load the next database entry to
current, active settings. When
Frame Count/Time
expires and
Image Process
Looping
is enabled, the next database entry with modifications to reader
settings will be used.
Note:
The image capture event always occurs when the first database entry
is used.
Note:
The
Switch Mode
setting has no effect on
Rapid Capture Mode
,
which always operates in
Number of Image Frames
mode with a frame
count of
1
.

Usage:
Useful in applications where it is necessary to process a single captured
image multiple times using different IP and decode parameters.
