V440-F C-Mount Code Reader User Manual

O-1 Introduction

This section describes how to update V440-F firmware.
You can update the following V440-F firmware versions by following the steps described.

•

WebLink

V440-F firmware version example:

•

The 

Device Discovery Utility (DDU)

 is required to update V440-F firmware.

•

When you update the firmware version, the settings saved on the V440-F will be initialized. Be sure 
to connect to WebLink and back up the setting file before updating.

•

Do not turn off the V440-F during the update.

•

Be careful not to disconnect the cable that connects the V440-F to your computer during the update.

•

The updated firmware cannot be downgraded.
If you accidentally apply old firmware, you may not be able to connect to the V440-F. Be sure not to 
apply an older firmware version.
