2-5. Self-Test
2-5-1. Overview
The F3SG-SR performs the Self-Test when power is turned ON (within 3 s) to check for errors.
Also, it regularly performs the Self-Test (within a response time) while operating.
This function cannot be cancelled.
If an error is found in the Self-Test, the F3SG-SR enters the LOCKOUT state, keeps the safety outputs
in the OFF state, and indicates the error at the same time.
2-5-1-1. Self-Test details
The Self-Test detects such error as described below.
Emitter
• Failure of emitter unit or circuit
• CPU failure
• Memory failure
• Failure of DIP Switch
Receiver
• Abnormal external power supply voltage
• Failure of internal power supply circuit
• Failure of receiver unit or detection circuit
• CPU failure
• Memory failure
• Failure of safety output circuit
• Disconnected or short-circuited cable
• Failure of DIP Switch
• Failure of End Cap
