
E-16 Installing Windows XP
When PROSet is not installed
1.
Start Device Manager.
2.
Point to [Network adapters] and double click following adapter.
Open the adapter [Properties].
[Intel(R) 82578DM Gigabit Network Connection]
3.
Click [Power Management] tab and change setting according to the following list.
Setting item
Using
WOL

"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
ON
OFF
"Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby"
ON or OFF
OFF
NOTES:
Please refer to follows about function of "Allow this device to
bring...".
ON: WOL work by DirectedPacket (*1) or MagicPacket on
hibernate or standby state.
OFF: WOL do not work by DirectedPacket or MagicPacket on
hibernate or standby state.
Above setting will be maintained until manually resetting are
executed.
*1 The packet which includes ethernet address of adapter in Ethernet
Header or the Packet including the IP address assigned by IP Header
to adapter.
4.
Click [Advanced] tab and point to [Enable PME].
5.
Set in [Value] as follows.

Using WOL ON
–
Not using WOL: OFF
6.
Click [OK].
7.
Restart the system.
