Upgrading Your Workstation  9-9

3.5-inch Hard Disk Drive

Up to two hard disk drives can be installed in your workstation.

Install the first hard disk drive in device bay #1, and the second one in device bay #2.

IMPORTANT:

Do not use any hard disk drive that is not authorized by NEC.
Installing a third-party hard disk drive may cause a failure in the
workstation as well as the hard disk drive. Repair of any failure or
damage in the workstation caused by such a hard disk drive will be
charged.

If two or more hard disk drives are installed, the indication order of
hard disk drives on BIOS is not identical to that on operating
system.

Install the hard disk drives as shown in the figure below.
