Clearing CMOS
Clear CMOS as follows.
1.
Power off the system and remove the left side panel as described in
“Removing
or Installing the Side Cover” on page 4-4
of this guide.
2.
Check to ensure the system power cord(s) is removed from the back of the
system.
3.
Move the Clear CMOS jumper from the factory default position (left pane of
“Figure 3 - 1: CMOS and Password Jumpers” on page 3-28
) to the Clear CMOS
position (right pane of
“Figure 3 - 1: CMOS and Password Jumpers” on page 3-28
)
4.
Connect the power cord(s), power on the system and after POST completes,
power down the system and unplug the power cord(s).
5.
Move the Clear Password jumper to its default position.
6.
Replace the left side panel, connect the power cord(s), and power on the
system.
7.
Press
F2
at the prompt to run the BIOS Setup utility, and select “Load Setup
Default” at the Exit menu.
