9.10.3.4 Measuring reaction time
Manual opening
Select ‘Manual Opening Reaction Time’ in the ‘Manual Mode’ menu.
The High-speed DC Circuit Breaker must be in the closed position.
The used test current is fixed at 100 A per connected DC Current Generator.
Press ‘START’ to begin the measurement, then send the manual open command to the High-speed DC Circuit
Breaker. If no opening is measured, the test will time out after 20 seconds.
Measurement principle
When started, the system will begin sending the test current. The resulting reaction time is the time between the
command input and the measured interruption of current.
Measurement results
The test result is displayed in the following dialog:
The graph button opens the graph dialog illustrating the performed measurement.
