7. DC Current Generator
The DC Current Generator (also called Power Unit) contains 60 DC/DC current converters, each providing up to 67 A
of current, assembled in parallel.
The unit is controlled using pulse-width modulation (PWM).
Each unit contains its own current measuring device.
Two Power Flex-cables of 2 m - Ø 240 mm² are used for connecting the DC Current Generator to the device under
test.
By default, these Power Flex-cables are fitted with cable lugs on one end, and Power Junction Connectors on the
other.
The DC Current Generator 4,000 A consist of:
On the front panel:
Power connectors ‘+’ and ‘–’ for connecting the test object to the system using the Power Flex-cables.
