10. Master/Slave version.
Using the ‘Master/Slave’ configuration, two BALTO Modular Systems can be connected in parallel to reach a
maximum current of up to 40,000 A. The Control Units must be fitted with Master/Slave connectors to do this.
10.1 System Assembly.
Each BALTO Modular comes with a fully equipped energy compartment, i.e. with 4 rows of batteries and 5
ultracapacitors.
3 versions are available :
BALTO Modular 24000-40 with 6 current generators
BALTO Modular 32000-40 with 8 current generators
BALTO Modular 40000 with 10 current generators
When used in a Master-Slave configuration, it is recommended that both BALTO Modular systems are equipped with
an equal amount of current generators.
When used as separate systems, each BALTO Modular can be equipped with 5 current generators to reach the
maximum current (20.000A).
10.1.1 Identification of the Control Units.
In a Master/Slave configuration, one Control Unit will act as the “Master”, the other one as the “Slave” The Master
Controller has a male connector on the back, the Slave Controller has a female one :
