The used test current is fixed at 100 A per connected DC Current Generator.
Press ‘START’ to begin the measurement, then send the manual close command to the High-speed DC Circuit
Breaker. If no closing is measured, the test will time out after 20 seconds.
Measurement principle
When started, the system will begin to attempt sending current in pulses. When the High-speed DC Circuit Breaker
closes, current will successfully flow through the circuit. The resulting reaction time is the time between the command
input and the measured flowing of current.
Due to the self-regulating design of the system, the current that flows once the breaker closes may be higher than
the specified test current for a brief moment. The generated current is corrected within a few milliseconds.
