Specific responsibilities
Environmental conditions
Extreme environmental conditions should be avoided at all costs.
The necessary precautions should be taken against dust, moisture and heat building up in the device.
Particularly, prevent rapid environment fluctuations - variations in temperature or humidity - as moisture can
condense on or in the device leading to risk of short-circuiting.
When placing the device outdoors in humid conditions, do not connect any voltage to the BALTO System. The
system should be given time to adapt to the ambient temperature first.
Do not place the device in close proximity to heating sources.
Always let the device adapt to the ambient temperature before utilisation when placing the device outdoors.
A waiting period of about 12 hours is required.
No dismantling
The control panel display should not be dismantled by the user.
There are no serviceable parts inside.
Switching the Control Panel on and off
The Control Panel does not have its own switch.
Switching the Control Panel on and off is carried out automatically.
Do not disconnect any connection when the device is powered, software data could be lost or damaged.
Operation
The Control Panel may only be operated by qualified and authorised personnel. Furthermore, all personnel must be
familiar with the Windows operating system and the application software.
The handling of the touch screen may only be done with a clean finger or touch screen stylus.
If gloves are worn, ensure that they do not contain any sharp particles such as metal shavings or glass shards.
