Recovering deleted items
Recovering deleted machines
If a machine has been accidentally removed from a domain, you can recover
the domain to which it belonged, its anti-virus components, and its component
configuration via the
Discover
command.
NOTE:
This option will not work if the Management components were
removed from the machine when it was taken out of the domain.
Follow these steps to recover a removed machine:
1. In the network view, expand the
Microsoft Windows Network
until the
machine is visible. For more detail, see
“Finding machines” on page 255
.
2. Right-click the machine, and choose
Discover
.
If the Management components are still present on the machine, the
Management Console prompts you to add the machine back to the
anti-virus domain.
3. Click
Yes
.
