Removing managed machines from the network view
With a large number of machines in a single Microsoft network domain, it may
be hard to determine which of these machines are currently in an anti-virus
domain. The names of the machines that are currently managed can be
temporarily removed from the Management Console’s network view:
Right-click the Microsoft network domain, and choose
Hide Managed
.
To restore the names to the list, right-click the Microsoft network domain
again, and choose
Refresh
.
Finding machines
If you are managing a large network, it can be difficult to see a machine in the
Management Console window. However, you can search for any machine that
can be seen in either the network view or the anti-virus domain view. You
must provide some text from its name and, optionally, from its machine
comment.
Follow these steps to find a machine:
1. Expand any containers to make machines visible.
2. In the main menu of the Management Console, click
Edit
, and then click
Find Machines
.
