Configuring Complex Domains
202
Management Edition
You are not allowed to delete the record of a machine that is still in an
anti-virus domain. This ensures consistency between the Name Provider’s
database and the Management Console’s record of the anti-virus domain
members.
Deleting anti-virus domains
Follow these steps to delete an anti-virus domain:
1. Right-click on the domain name, and choose
Delete Domain
.
2. Click
Yes
to confirm the deletion.
The Removing machines dialog box appears (
Figure 7-5 on page 200
).
3. Select the actions to be carried out on the machines within the domain.
By default, the Management Console removes the machines from the
anti-virus domain, but it does not remove any anti-virus software
installed on them. If you do not select the remaining options, you can
restore the machines to the domain later with the
Discover
command.
4. To remove on-access and on-demand scanners from all these machines,
select
Remove Anti-Virus Components
.
5. To remove the Management Agent, select
Remove Management
Components
.
6. Click
OK
.
