Licensed ink cartridge shut
down
Replace Cartridge
Technical Support Center:
Be sure that the installed ink cartridges are
supported and genuine Lexmark cartridges.
Replace the ink cartridges. Turn off the printer by
unplugging the power cord. Wait for 10 seconds,
and turn on the printer. If the problem remains, then
replace the printer.

Service:
Insert licensed ink cartridges, and run a test print.
From the home screen, touch

Check if the J27 connector is not damaged. Reseat
the cable, and turn on the printer. If the problem
remains, then replace the system board. See
“System board removal” on page 4-32
. If this
does not solve the problem, then replace the tank
receiver assembly with inlet. See

the problem remains, then replace the printer.

Technical Support Center:
Turn off the printer by unplugging the power cord.
Wait for 10 seconds, and turn on the printer. Insert
clean white paper in the input tray. From the home

If the problem remains, then replace the printer.

Duplex (two-sided) printing

Technical Support Center:
Check if the media has the correct paper type and
paper size specifications for duplex printing. Turn
off the printer by unplugging the power cord. Wait
for 10 seconds, and turn on the printer. Resend the
print job. If the problem remains, then replace the
printer.

required for two-sided printing

Check the duplex unit for any damages. If problem
remains, then replace the duplex unit. See
