Scan skew
Technical Support Center:
From the ADF:
Try one or more of the following:
• Make sure that the paper is inserted correctly on the ADF
input tray. Set the paper guides according to the paper size.
• Open the ADF door, and check if there are debris found on
the paper path. Clear any obstruction on the ADF and exit
tray paper paths.
• Check the paper if it is within Lexmark media specifications.
. If the problem
remains, then replace the printer.
From the flatbed scanner:
Try one or more of the following:
• Make sure that the paper is properly set on the flatbed
scanner using the reference corner of the flatbed scanner.
• Close the scanner lid correctly.
If the problem remains, then replace the printer.

Vertical banding and other unwanted data
(during ADF duplex scan)
Note:
Only the Pro5500 model supports
duplex scan.
Technical Support Center:
Open the ADF/scanner assembly, and check for any obstruction
or dirt on the ADF scan bar. Resend the scan/copy job. If the
problem remains, then replace the printer.
