8 Check if the ADF door can close properly.
Does the ADF door close properly?
Go to step 9. Replace the ADF
door. See
“ADF
door removal”
on page 4-23

Check the interconnect card and all cables on it for any
damage. Reseat all cables.
Are the interconnect card and cables free from any
damage?
Go to step 10. Do any of the
following:
• If the cables
are
damaged,
then go to
step 13.
• If the
interconnect
card is
damaged,
then go to
step 14.
10 Check the J30 and J22 cables if they are properly
connected to the system board and, are free from any
damage.
Are the J30 and J22 cables properly connected, and
are free from any damage?
Go to step 11. Go to step 14.
11 Replace the ADF pick assembly. See “ADF pick
assembly and separation pad removal” on page 4-16 .
Does the problem remain?
Go to step 12. Problem
