Controlling the Stereo Aux Masters
Because the four Aux faders (
AUX1
to
AUX4
) are stereo, they
are controlled using Smart Bus VCAs. This allows you to control
the stereo Aux from a single fader and/or adjust its Left and
Right components as follows:
1.
Press
SEL
on the Smart Bus VCA fader – e.g.
AUX1
.
The Smart Bus VCA is selected and its component channels
are deployed into the Smart Bus zone (Faders 45 and 46).
2.
From the
AUX1
Smart Bus VCA you can control
master
settings: Level, Mute, Cue and Composite Pan.
You can also use the
SEL
button to route (or unroute) Inputs
from the Aux (left and right).
3.
From the
Au1L
or
Au1R
component channels, you can
control individual parameters for the left and right
channels.
Note that the
Templ1
file links Output processing for the Aux
Left and Right channels, so actually it is not possible to set
independent EQ for left and right unless you unlink the
processing from the
LINK I/O
display, see Page 326:
4.
When you have finished adjusting the Aux Outputs,
press
SEL
on an Input fader to return your Input channels
to their normal operation (main channel level).
Any Group or Aux may be mono, stereo, LCR or LCRM. For
more details on Smart Busses, see Page 160.
